Like a listener, an Oracle Names server is configured to listen for incoming connection requests for a database or other service on a specific network address. Use the Address tab to configure or modify one or more listening location addresses on which an Oracle Names server will wait for client connections.
Note: If you used the is Names Wizard to create an Oracle Names server, an address should already be configured.
Protocol:
From the drop-down list, select the protocol for the address. Enter information in the fields as appropriate.

any name.

| Defines the name of the TNS-based application on the network.

Note: Choosing the TCP/IP with SSL protocol configures a default implementation of SSL for this machine.

| Identifies the Oracle Names server host name. |

| PORT
| Identifies the Oracle Names server listening port number. 1575 is the
recommended and officially registered port.

When a protocol address is entered, click this button to add the address to the list box.
Remove button:
When a protocol address is selected from the list box, click this button to remove the address.
Change button:
When a protocol address is selected from the list box and modifications have been made in the address fields, click this button to change the address.
