Breaking Free of the Church Machine
	-----------------------------------

    How?  Existence of church (worship) machinery defiles the 
    individual's unique wondrous and irreplaceable relationship 
    between him or her
                        and his/her Creator.

 	"Mass speaking of prayers."
	"Mass singing."
	"Committee politics."

    How, on the other hand, it provides tremendous opportunity for
    a coming together of like minds.  

    Especially when the like minds
      out of tune 
    can endure the 
      devastating love and acceptance of a
                   Smile of God.

    can endure the violence and discomfort
      of having their hatreds
               and prejudices
      wrenched from their souls ...

    or endure the gentle lifting of them 
              up 
                off
      the bowed shoulder ...

    (or else endure the nagging guilt,
         from which the 
               center 
         of their prejudices
             r a d i a t e

         from which the defensiveness of the
         bible passage is thumped as if
               it were
                   the WORD.)

       Such is the danger,
              the danger of true Worship
                   of and with 
                   an eternal,
                      ageless, 
                      loving-kindly God--

           The devastation of His Smile.

     Those who endure it are never the same again.
