I rather believe that one thing most people fear is humiliation.  Greatly.  I think many people would rather subject themselves to many other bad things than to be humiliated, especially publicly.  I rather wonder if Randall has that fear?  And does things to somehow ensure he gets the strokes he needs to prop up his pride?  Except that the habits he has created to do so rather often backfire on him, as he tries pushing some B.S. and someone like me appears who is willing to call a spade a spade.

Randall's enemy is Trump.  Or one of them is, anyway.  It is revolting to him to think that any of his behaviors could have anything in common with Trump's behaviors.  Randall's biggest peeve is with bullies (I believe he has been cruelly treated by bullies), and he views Trump as a supreme bully.  To suggest that Randall could possess that trait, which he can (which many of us can from time to time, our all being human) -- That trips a circuit breaker in Randall's mind.  He then becomes the bully he so abhors.  No wonder he has mental issues.  *sigh*

I am sensitive.  I can easily be broken by insensitive treatment.  But the world is quite willing to feel mistreated and retaliate in spades.

I guess it behooves sensitive people therefore to be sensitive not only in themselves to others' actions towards them, but to also be sensitive in their actions towards other people.  Do to others what you would have them do to you.
