         Abstract
          Whether it is phasing out a mainframe in favor of a
          client/server network, upgrading software applications used
          company-wide, or establishing a wide area network for use
          by employee workgroups, the pressures on IT personnel are
          growing considerably. Compounding this is the need to
          constantly stay current with new technology solutions and
          share this information with fellow co-workers, colleagues
          and the line managers you serve. Managers can take steps to
          prevent employee burnout by learning to recognize the early
