Manage Server: Control

The Control tab allows you to control various aspects of an Oracle Names server.

Operation

Server Operations

Start:

Click to start an Oracle Names server. This will load the Oracle Names server program and start loading system and local administrative region data. This command will not work if the Oracle Names server is currently running.

Shutdown:

Click to shut down an Oracle Names server. This command will not work if the Oracle Names server is not currently running.

Restart:

Click to initiate a reset of the active Oracle Names server to its original startup.

Statistics Operations

Write Statistics to Log:

Click to write statistics to a log file.

Reset Statistics:.

Click to reset the time interval during which an Oracle Names server will accumulate statistics

Perform Operations

Immediately:

Click to perform an operation immediately.

Wait:

Click to wait to perform and operation, and enter a time interval in seconds. To cancel an already scheduled operation, enter a time value of zero in the Wait field provided.

Apply button:

Click to execute any command selected.

Check Status button:

Click to check the status of the executed operation.
