Dear Dave:

Here is the poem (or is it a couplet) that Mom read to you
on the phone the other day, that you liked:

It is from the Wall Street Journal:

                LOSING PROPOSITION

Some people say what they think;
Nothing is ever held back.
They're never at a loss for words--
It's just friends that they lack.

It  does make one think, doesn't it!.   I have often told
others that you do not tell a fat person that they are fat;
no doubt they know it; one is just being cruel even though
they give the "helpful" advice:  "You ought to lose weight".
