David, It is always nice to see someone I have met in person on this sig. And your advice is welcome, esp. as the few times I have met you, you have impressed me as someone that is peaceful. I have definite plans to reach my goal. 1) I plan to continue my meditation. 2) I plan to start reading different items on peace, like the works of Peace Pilgrim. 3) I am going to start doing more good deeds and acts of kindness for others. 4) I plan to try to lay aside all my unhealthy hatreds and dislikes. This will mean forgiving a few people for transgressions against me. But I feel it must be done 5) Finally, I must address some issues within myself and with people I have cared about now and in the past. I realize alot of people (Kaye among them) would recommend I let go of such things. But there is one situation that happened last fall I want to rectify, and I do not think I will feel at ease until then. Having finished an Alternatives to Violence Project workshop today, I am confident I can, if this person is willing to listen. I plan to take whatever knowledge I learn and use in my teachings within my religion. Being pagan, the folks in my religion do not always do as they should. There is alot of fighting, rumour mongering, and so forth, and unfortunately the methods currently employed sametimes only escalate tensions. Too, I plan to fight any form of discrimination when I see it. AS for involvement in organizations, I am already tied up, what with religious obligations and then there's Chautauqua. But one point I would like to get clear on this sig. is that no one should play petty games of evening things up. I have very rarely done that, most people I respect don't do that either. The same goes for rumour mongering et. al.-- Swain Wodening "Who says fate loves misery..." from "Show Me" by The Rembrants
